PREACHER'S PEN
with Jeff Spencer
But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me. And you also will bear witness, because you have been with Me from the beginning. [John 15:26-27]
What does the Holy Spirit testify about Chirst?
1)He is bound to be faithful to the purpose of the one who has sent him.
2)He is the Spirit of truth. No matter if it is uncomfortable or unpopular he cannot compromise or withhold the truth.
3)He comes fresh from the presence of a passionately burdened Father - who He knows intimately - desperate to redeem His creation)
How do you think the Holy Spirit could use the gifts he has given you to help fulfil the mission he is sent on? When do find it hardest to maintain the truth in a hostile world?

PREACHER'S PEN
with Andrew Kelly
Fellowship is essential for growth to maturity.
Ephesians 4:15-16
Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.
Spiritual growth does not happen in isolation.
Jesus’ plan for our individual growth is that we would minister to One another and see His whole body built up in love through serving one another.

CROSS & CROWN YOUTH - CAMP REWIND
Thank you for your support of our Youth Camp at El Shaddai Camping Centre over the long weekend. We wouldn’t have been able to run the camp without your financial support and prayers. We ended up with 35 people attending camp, which was the exact number of people we needed without extra costs, and the amount of money donated by the church was enough to cover all of the extra costs.
We felt very blessed to see how the Lord provided so richly through the support of the church family at Craigmore.
We had a great time together playing messy games, giant swing, storm the lantern, an amazing race, and other activities.
We enjoyed times of worship together and being challenged in our devotion time, focusing on if we as leaders could turn back time, what we wish we knew in our Christian walk. We also ran a Q&A session on the Sunday night where the youth had the opportunity to ask questions about God and what was on their heart.
We believe the Lord really used the time away camp to impact the youth’s hearts and attitudes. We are looking forward to how what was learnt on camp will affect their lives and walks with God.

GAVIN & JANET PETERSEN
Our missionaries, Gavin and Janet, need our help in a very specific way. Their 20 year old car is becoming unreliable and is continually requiring maintenance. Due to the very high cost of vehicles in Portugal, we are opening a Car Fund for the Petersen’s.
A target of $30,000 has been set to allow for the purchase of a reliable vehicle suitable for ministry. Donations can be sent directly to CCC's bank account or placed in our weekly offerings (mark envelope “Petersen Car Fund”).
We are also notifying AMT of this opportunity for others to support the Petersen’s but it would be an added blessing to the Petersens to see a substantial proportion come from their home church

Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. John 16:24

“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work" 2 Timothy 3:16, 17
The Bible (Scriptures or the Word of God) is the most remarkable book ever written. The writing was done by about 40 men of several countries and many occupations. They wrote over a period of about 1500 years and in 3 languages (Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek). Yet the Bible is a well-organised unity with one great theme and central Figure - Jesus Christ. All of this would be impossible unless the Bible had one supreme Author - and it did - the Holy Spirit of God. "for prophecy (Scripture) never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit" II Peter 1:21
Abraham Lincoln, who was responsible for abolishing slavery in U.S. and was its greatest president, said this about the Bible
"I believe the Bible is the best gift God has ever given to man. All the good from the Saviour of the World is communicated to us through this Book...All things most desirable for man's welfare, here and hereafter, are to be found portrayed in it"
The Word of God has power (Hebrews 4:12), it is able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Jesus Christ (II Timothy 3:15) and through it the child of God can grow and be eternally blessed. Don't let it gather dust on a shelf. Read it, study it, hear it, memorise it and meditate on it. The great evangelist Dwight L. Moody once said "The Scriptures were not given to increase our knowledge but to change our lives".

EASTER REFLECTION
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation. Romans 5:8-11
Jesus died on the cross for you. He wore a crown of thorns and was nailed to a tree because He loves you...and He wants to have a personal relationship with you today.

BE PRAYING FOR...
SARAH & SOLOMON GEORGE
Congratulations to Sarah and Solly as they got married on April 13th. Be praying for them as they enter this new stage of life together and figure out life as a married couple with God as their foundation. Also, be praying for safety while they are away on their honeymoon.
ANNETTE BOWERS
Be in prayer for Annette Bowers as she recovers from surgery to remove a cyst from her brain on Wednesday. Pray there be no complications hindering her recovery, that God as the Great Healer would restore her to good health. Pray for Matt and the family as they care for Annette over the coming weeks, and that they may know God’s peace and comfort through this time.
ALAN BRYANT
Continue to pray for Alan Bryant, as he mourns the passing of Joan to her eternal resting place with God. Pray he will know the comfort of God through this time and the assurance of His love and presence whilst he grieves.
BAPTISM CANDIDATES
Remember those who have been recently baptised, Mathilda Britz, Abbey Townsend, Josh Clarke, Jake Townsend, Louise Carbone, Natalia Bates and Makayla Bates.
Pray they will trust in God anew, that they will lean on Him at times of uncertainty and for guidance. That they will stand strong in the armour of God against any attacks the evil one would place about them.

ASSURANCE OF SALVATION
“For the love of Christ controls us, because we have concluded this: that one has died for all, therefore all have died; 15 and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised. 16 From now on, therefore, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we once regarded Christ according to the flesh, we regard him thus no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” 2 Corinthians 5:14-17
New life in Christ is one of complete transformation; of death to sin and self, to life under the lordship of Christ. Our lives are no longer lived for ourselves, but for the one who died for us and was raised again.
