Assurance of Salvation
And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

Put On The New Self
If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

A disciple of Christ loves Him and consistently puts Him first in the major areas of their life and is continually taking steps to separate from sin.
“Whoever does not bear his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple.” - Luke 14:27
“And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me." - Luke 9:23
“Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.” - Matthew 10:37
“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” - Matthew 6:33
“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” - Romans 12:1-2

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. 19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. 20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. 21 For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. - Romans 1:18-21

HAVE A BLESSED CHRISTMAS!
“The one who is the true light, who gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. He came into the very world he created, but the world didn’t recognize him. But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son. From his abundance we have all received one gracious blessing after another.” - John 1:9-10,12,14,16

When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Feed my lambs.” He said to him a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Tend my sheep.” He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, “Do you love me?” and he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep. Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were young, you used to dress yourself and walk wherever you wanted, but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will dress you and carry you where you do not want to go.” (This he said to show by what kind of death he was to glorify God.) And after saying this he said to him, “Follow me.” - John 21:15-19 ESV

“Afterward Jesus appeared again to his disciples, by the Sea of Galilee. It happened this way: Simon Peter, Thomas (also known as Didymus ), Nathanael from Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two other disciples were together. “I’m going out to fish,” Simon Peter told them, and they said, “We’ll go with you.” So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing. Early in the morning, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus. He called out to them, “Friends, haven’t you any fish?” “No,” they answered. He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish. Then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” - John 21:1-7 NIV

After these things Joseph of Arimathea, who was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, asked Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus, and Pilate gave him permission. So he came and took away his body. Nicodemus also, who earlier had come to Jesus[a] by night, came bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about seventy-five pounds in weight. So they took the body of Jesus and bound it in linen cloths with the spices, as is the burial custom of the Jews. Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one had yet been laid. So because of the Jewish day of Preparation, since the tomb was close at hand, they laid Jesus there. - John 19:38-42

WELCOME TO THE HARTWICH FAMILY
I had the privilege (as did Leah) of growing up in a Christian family. One aspect that really impacted my Christian journey was learning about creation science in later high school. I was hooked, so hooked I decided to study evolutionary biology at uni. After that I decided it was off to Bible college, including a desire to avoid girls and ignore ‘that topic’.
Leah and I met during our time while studying at ACM, also known as Adelaide College of Marriages. We exchanged rings in December 2012 in a beautiful garden (like the very first marriage, how Christian of us?!). The week of the wedding we both managed to secure jobs in New Zealand, so four weeks later we were on the plane.
Our time in NZ has many treasured memories. I worked on an evangelistic video Bible series while Leah was the youth director at our church. Amongst other deep spiritual insights we confirmed that rugby really was an inferior code to Aussie Rules and that due to geotechnical issues NZ sometimes didn’t smell that good, but the place itself is pretty much pristine and in places gorgeously untouched.
In our fourth year our little treasure, Daniel was born in November 2016. Being of high Christian integrity I had hoped our firstborn son would be born in the town of Bethlehem, but we fell one suburb short, and Daniel was born in Tauranga. He is simply a delight and joy. Four weeks (sound familiar?) after his birth we ventured back to our native land.
We now find ourselves a part of the Craigmore family. I have a role in the school to further develop those in Christian schooling in theology, apologetics and a Christian outlook on everything in life. Leah is full time + a half looking after Daniel and preparing for our second child, due in January.
- Sam Hartwich

Then Pilate took Jesus and flogged him. And the soldiers twisted together a crown of thorns and put it on his head and arrayed him in a purple robe. They came up to him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!” and struck him with their hands... So he delivered him over to them to be crucified. So they took Jesus, and he went out, bearing his own cross, to the place called The Place of a Skull, which in Aramaic is called Golgotha. There they crucified him, and with him two others, one on either side, and Jesus between them. - John 19:1-3, 16-18

Head to pingpongathon.com/craigmore to donate or speak to Josh Blieschke. Thank you.

TWILIGHT FAIR & CHRISTMAS CAROLS
The Twilight Fair and Christmas Carols is just around the corner! On the First of December, we hope to put on a community event to share the wonderful news of the coming of our Saviour. A huge thank you to all those who have jumped on board and volunteered to help make this day possible.
We are still short in our people power though, so if you think you can VOLUNTEER:
1. Pick up a slip from the Welcome Desk
2. Fill it out
3. Return it to the KELLY pigeon hole this week.
(Those who have a heart for kids, please consider signing up for our Kids activities)
If you can’t physically volunteer for the day, but still want to put support the event, we are looking for SPONSORS for some of our activities. We’d love to offer the following activities at a low rate to our community or ideally FREE if possible:
- An Animal Petting Zoo
- A Bouncy Castle
- A Donut Machine
- Face painting and Animal Balloon making
Please feel free to see Amy or Andrew Kelly if you have any questions or would like to know more about the day. Looking forward to serving alongside you all.

CYC CAMP SPONSORSHIPS
It’s that time of year again when Amy Day is looking for people who would like to sponsor campers to attend the summer camps at CYC El Shaddai. It allows children to go to camp who would otherwise not be able to afford to go.
One of our own young people in our fellowship has been able to attend camp for the past 9 years thanks to the generosity of those who have given throughout the years. She has blossomed in her faith and is now giving back and mentoring other young campers coming through. This is an example of how your giving will have eternal benefits.
If you have a child who would like to go, but you are unable to afford the camp fees, please feel free to contact me to see if we can help send your child to camp.
